Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Sean Beardmore ("I", "me", "my") collects, uses, stores and protects your personal data when you visit seanbeardmore.com (the "Site") or get in touch with me. I am committed to handling your data lawfully and transparently in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
I operate as a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, contact me at hello@seanbeardmore.com.
1. Who is the data controller
The data controller for personal data collected through this Site is:
- Sean Beardmore (sole trader)
- Trading address: [ADD YOUR BUSINESS / CORRESPONDENCE ADDRESS]
- Email: hello@seanbeardmore.com
- ICO registration number (if applicable): [ADD ICO REG NUMBER OR REMOVE]
2. What data I collect
I only collect what I need to respond to you and run the Site:
- Information you give me directly — when you complete the contact form, this includes your name, email address, your message, and the enquiry type you selected (Direct, White-Label or Joint Venture).
- Information collected automatically — basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device and pages visited, where analytics or server logs are in use. [CONFIRM WHICH ANALYTICS, IF ANY, YOU USE — e.g. none, Plausible, Google Analytics]
I do not knowingly collect any special-category data, and the Site is intended for business users, not children.
3. How and why I use your data
I process your personal data for the following purposes and on the following lawful bases:
- To respond to your enquiry and discuss working together — lawful basis: legitimate interests (responding to a request you initiated) and/or steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract.
- To provide and improve my services — lawful basis: legitimate interests and, where a contract exists, performance of that contract.
- To keep the Site secure and functioning — lawful basis: legitimate interests.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations — lawful basis: legal obligation.
4. The tools and processors I use
I use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate the Site and manage enquiries. These act as my data processors and only handle your data on my instructions:
- MyFlow (myflow.io) — when you submit the contact form, your details are sent to and stored in my MyFlow CRM, which routes the enquiry to me, tags it by enquiry type and may trigger an automated acknowledgement email. MyFlow is operated by a provider based in the EU/EEA.
- Website hosting — the Site is hosted on Hetzner (servers in the EU), which may process server logs for security and delivery.
- Google Fonts — fonts are loaded from Google's servers, which may receive your IP address when the page loads. [OPTIONAL: self-host fonts to avoid this — ask me to switch]
Each processor is engaged under terms that require appropriate security and data-protection safeguards.
5. International transfers
Where a provider processes data outside the UK or EEA, I rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or Standard Contractual Clauses to protect your data.
6. How long I keep your data
I keep enquiry data for as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you get back in touch, and longer where required for legal, tax or accounting reasons. When data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted.
7. Your rights
Under UK data-protection law you have the right to: access your data; have inaccurate data corrected; have your data erased; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these, email hello@seanbeardmore.com and I will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though I would welcome the chance to resolve it with you first.
8. Cookies
This Site uses only the cookies and similar technologies strictly necessary for it to work, plus any set by the tools listed above. [IF YOU ADD ANALYTICS OR MARKETING COOKIES, ADD A COOKIE BANNER AND DETAIL THEM HERE.]
9. Changes to this policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
